Flibanserin started as an anti-depressant, but after women in clinical trials reported an increased libido, the German pharma group Boehringer Ingelheim began preparing the launch of the “female Viagra.” Other than the fact that they both originated to treat other conditions, viagra and flibanserin have little in common.
